Coraline

I bought this book yesterday on my lunch and finished reading it last night. I really liked it! It is written by Neil Gaiman who I was introduced to by Jim. He got me The Sandman series and, wow!, I was hooked.
I don't remember where I first heard of Coraline but this is a book I'm keeping. It is coming out as a movie in February 2009 which, as much as I want to see it, is fine by me. I find I need to have a good space of time between when I read "the book" and watch "the movie" so that I can appreciate them both for what they are. As we all know, the book is always better than the movie but I can usually like the movie for what it is (if its any good at all) if I watch it first.
Anyways, Coraline is about a little girl who makes a very creepy discovery and goes on quite an adventure! I read some quotes about the book and one said Coraline is the sort of children's book that children find to be a great adventure but gives adults nightmares! HEEHEE!
